Turtle Nesting Season is HERE!

As every year Cancun & Riviera Maya are part of this amazing event, thousands of Sea Turtles arrive to our coasts to nest.

There are 8 species of sea turtles found across the globe, 7 out of which come to the beaches around Mexico 4 of them arrives to Cancun & Riviera Maya.

International Incentive Travel and its alliances actively support and promote various initiatives for the protection of the turtles. The police of the local areas stand guard day and night to protect them, not just in Cancun & Riviera Maya, but all across the beaches where eggs are laid.

 Human activity and climate change has an impact on turtle nesting sites. It's estimated that only 1 in 1,000 hatchlings will survive to adulthood.
