Due to the growing concern about the COVID-19, known as Coronavirus, I consider important to share the response against this situation at our destination. Primarily, trust my commitment as the IIT founder to take a leading role to offset the disruption in the events and travel industry. Cancun and Riviera Maya without cases of Coronavirus

Cancun and Riviera Maya remain safe for tourists, locals and welcome new events diverted to our destination because of COVID-19. The US CDC keeps the classification Green ‐ Level 1 for our destination which means there is no reason to pospone or cancel trips to Cancun and Riviera Maya where the current conditions are great for vacationing, the weather is sunny with temperature over 29°C (85°F) today as the spring is starting. The hotel occupancy from January to February has increased up to 5% being one of the favourite destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean. Our government is being serious and cautious about this issue. The chief of the Health Bureau in our State (SESA -because of its Spanish acronym-), Alejandra Aguirre Crespo has had meetings with the Cancun International Airport Coordinating Commission and they together have currently stablished a procedure for prevention, detection and management of suspicious disease cases.
